Open an eTextbook from Pearson+

You can open an eTextbook from the Pearson+ site or app.

Using an LMS? Start from your learning management system if you work in Blackboard, Canvas, D2L Brightspace, Moodle, Sakai, or Schoology.

Pearson+ is a learning hub with affordable student tools for school or starting a career. It can provide you with access to the following resources, some of which might require purchase:

  • eTextbooks associated with your Pearson account. In addition to eTextbooks associated with your courses, students can purchase subscriptions to other eTextbooks.
  • Study Prep videos and practice questions for different areas of study. Students can purchase subscriptions to Study Prep they don't have access to.
  • Job match for internships and job matching.
  • Partners and Offers provides language learning (from Mondly by Pearson) and student discounts or offers relevant to student life.

Pearson+ is also the name of a mobile app " " for your eTextbook that provides access to the same resources. More about the Pearson+ app.

Open an eTextbook from the Pearson+ site

  1. Go to Pearson+.
  2. Select Sign in.
    Or
    Select Create account if you are new to Pearson products. It’s best practice to associate all your Pearson products with one account.
    The Pearson+ site automatically signs you in if you have an open course.
  3. To open the last eTextbook you had open, select Open eTextbook near its book cover. Otherwise, select Open book for any other eTextbook in your Library.
    Select Home from the menu to Return to Pearson+ from your open eTextbook.
  4. To purchase a new eTextbook, select Add course.
  5. Select I need to purchase a Pearson eTextbook.
  6. Choose your eTextbook from the catalog.
  7. Select an access option:
    • Access code — If you purchased an access code or one was included with your textbook, select Redeem Now and enter the code. For example: SMPLE-FRILL-TONLE-WEIRS-CHOIR-FLEES. Then select Redeem.
    • Buy access — Use a credit card or, if available, PayPal. Select the option for a fixed 6-month access period or lifetime access. See the Pearson+ Help Center for details. Then, select Buy now. Enter your credit card or PayPal details. Follow the prompts to complete the purchase.
    • 14-day refund — If you buy access or use an access code, you can get a refund within 14 days.

After you register, you'll see the eTextbook dashboard.
