Get started with MyLab and Mastering for your LMS

Welcome! Open your MyLab or Mastering course from your Learning Management System (LMS). You might work in Blackboard, Canvas, D2L Brightspace, Moodle, Sakai, or Schoology.
Open MyLab and Mastering from your LMS
Course ID: You don't need a Course ID or invite link to register for MyLab and Mastering. If you’re prompted for a Course ID, clear your temporary internet cache. Then go to your LMS course and follow the instructions below.
- Log in to the LMS as a student and enter your course.
- Select the MyLab and Mastering, Pearson, or Pearson Access link. If it's missing, ask your instructor to adjust course settings. Another option is to select a link that goes directly to a specific assignment or course tool such as eText.

Blackboard
Select the MyLab and Mastering or Pearson link from the content area where your instructor added it. Depending on how your course is set up, there are different ways to access links and tools. Check with your instructor if you're not sure which of the following instructions apply.
Blackboard Ultra experience

MyLab and Mastering integration
Select a MyLab and Mastering link under Course Content. Alternatively, under Books & Tools, select View course & institution tools. Then select the Pearson MyLab & Mastering link or a link that goes directly to a specific assignment or course tool such as eText.
Pearson integration
Do one of the following:
Under Course Content, select a link to go to a specific part of your MyLab or Mastering course. Or select Pearson to go to the Home page.
Under Books & Tools, select View course & institution tools. Then select Pearson.
Blackboard Original experience
MyLab and Mastering integration
Select the MyLab and Mastering link from the content area where your instructor added it or do one of the following:
Select Tools from the left navigation.
Select Pearson's MyLab and Mastering.
Then select a MyLab and Mastering link.
Select Tools from the left navigation.
Select Content Market Tools.
Under Used in this course, select Pearson MyLab & Mastering.
Then select a MyLab and Mastering link.
Pearson integration
Do one of the following:
Select Content from the left navigation and then select a link to go to a specific assignment or part of your course. Or select Pearson to go to the Home page.
Select Tools from the left navigation.
Then select Pearson.
Brightspace by D2L
Depending on how your course is set up, do one of the following:
Select a MyLab and Mastering or Pearson link in a module under Content Browser. Your modules might also contain links to specific MyLab and Mastering assignments or course tools.
or
Select the MyLab and Mastering widget.
Canvas
Select the MyLab and Mastering or Pearson Access link in Course Navigation. Or select a link to a specific MyLab and Mastering assignment or course tool.
or
Moodle
Select the MyLab and Mastering or Pearson link. You might also find links to specific MyLab and Mastering assignments or course tools.
or
Sakai
Select the Pearson link from the left navigation. Or select Assignments to find any links to specific MyLab and Mastering assignments or course tools.
Schoology
Select the Pearson link from the left navigation. Or select Materials from the left navigation and then a link that goes directly to a MyLab and Mastering assignment or course tool, such as eText.
Partner integration, including VitalSource, RedShelf LINK, and Barnes & Noble
Select a link such as Launch courseware, View Course Materials, or Start Studying.
- If prompted, select Open Pearson. Whether you see this button depends on your course setup.

If MyLab and Mastering or Pearson isn't already open in another tab, return to your LMS course navigation and select the MyLab and Mastering or Pearson link again. In a partner integration, your link is something like BookShelf or Launch courseware.
- Select Open MyLab & Mastering.
- If you haven't already, register for MyLab and Mastering following the instructions below.
Register for MyLab and Mastering
You only need to register and sign in to MyLab and Mastering once.
- Agree to any authorization requests.
- Enter the username and password from your existing Pearson student account and select Link accounts. If you don't have an account, select Create an account and follow the prompts. You can only link one LMS account to one Pearson account.
- Select Continue.
- If prompted, select an access option:
- Enter an access code.
- Buy access using a credit card or PayPal account.
- Get 14-day temporary access by selecting the link near the bottom of the page. (Upgrade to full access when you're ready.)
Depending on your course set up, you might also have the option to select Access now.
- Select Go to My Courses to open your MyLab or Mastering course. (You might need to refresh the page to see this button.) Or open MyLab and Mastering from your LMS course.
After you register, always open MyLab or Mastering from your LMS course.
Upgrade temporary access
If you registered using 14-day temporary access, upgrade to full access.
- To access payment options, do one of the following:
- From your LMS course, select any MyLab and Mastering link.
- From the course home page of your Pearson course, select My Courses from the main menu.
Then select Upgrade access on the notification.
- Upgrade access from your course confirmation or reminder email.
- Enter an access code or buy access using a credit card or PayPal account.

You might need to wait up to 30 minutes after completing an assignment to see your grades in the LMS gradebook. If you don't see your grades after 24 hours, contact your instructor. You might also need to contact Pearson Support and provide your diagnostics.

If you're using mobile access, use a mobile browser and not an LMS app.

Start from your LMS and always access Learning Catalytics sessions directly from your Pearson course home page. Don't access Learning Catalytics at www.learningcatalytics.com and don't create a separate Learning Catalytics account.
