Troubleshooting
Before you contact Pearson Support, check for potential solutions.
You may be using an incorrect Pearson username and password. Use the username and password for your student Pearson account, not those for your LMS. Only link one LMS account to one Pearson account. If you don't remember your Pearson username or password, look them up. Update your browser settings.
You see this:
The course ID you entered is for a LMS-linked course. You must register for this course through your local campus version of the LMS learning management system (LMS).
Please contact your instructor if you do not have the LMS web address.
You don't need a course ID or invite link. Open your My Lab or Mastering course from your LMS course to register. Otherwise, your grades might be incorrect.
To fix this, close the tab or window and start the registration from your LMS course.
You might need to wait up to 30 minutes after completing an assignment to see your grades.
If you're using Chrome or Firefox to view a page with mixed content (HTTPS and HTTP), the page or content might be blocked by a browser security feature.
Set up your browser to display mixed content or allow Pearson content and websites.
You see a message about these settings and continue without updating them. You can't open assignments and use other key features. To fix this, update your browser settings.
You might have registered for a course directly from a Pearson site or are working in the wrong MyLab or Mastering course. Contact your instructor to make sure you register for the right MyLab or Mastering course.
You tried to open your MyLab or Mastering course before it was created. If your instructor says the course is set up but you see this error, contact Pearson Support.
When you select a MyLab and Mastering or Pearson assignment link, course tool, or eText link (also called a deep link) in your LMS, you see an error and can't open the assignment. Contact your instructor and provide the error message.
