If your instructor uses Learning Catalytics in class, you need to bring a device to class. Make sure it's charged!
To answer questions in class: You can use any modern web-enabled device, including laptops, smartphones, and tablets (iPad, Kindle Fire, etc.). Learning Catalytics is completely web-based, so there is no software to install.
-
If you don't have access to a device
Things break. Loaners are often available through your college library or student services.
You can ask your instructor to assign you the same module outside of class.
-
If you use equipment such as a screen reader or mobility pointer
Schedule a "shakedown session" with your instructor to confirm your setup works well with Learning Catalytics. It should work like any Web-based product, but machines can be malevolent. If you find any issues, please let us know.
If you have trouble answering sketch or region questions, you can Switch to text response.
If your instructor makes review available, sign in from your computer (not a mobile device). See review a session.
