The Boolean expression

After you choose the Boolean operator, add the expressions that you want to combine for student response evaluation.

1. Add the first expression: Choose an expression, such as add_expressionOchemEvalIs, from the provided list.
2. Add the second and subsequent expressions: Use the same process, unless you want to add the same expression as has already been selected. (Any selected expression no longer appears on the provided list.) Instead, right-click in the expression, select Insert after, and then choose the expression from the menus, as shown below.
   
   
   
   

Use the Boolean expression to code multiple structures in a correct answer. Code each structure using the Is expression (expressionOchemEvalIs), and include the Number of Molecules expression (expressionOchemEvalNumMols) to ensure that the total number of structures does not exceed that required for the correct answer. For example, an answer with a Grade of 1 could be both the ortho and para products of a bromination of a benzene ring.
