The No Valence Errors property controls whether MarvinSketch automatically underlines valence errors as someone draws molecules.
By default, valence errors are shown with a red underline to alert users to this type of error as shown in this image. When the focus of the question not on structure (such as a predict-the-product question), you should allow valence errors to be displayed with the red underline.
When students must draw all of their own hydrogen atoms, you generally don't want students to receive the red underline for valence errors as they work. Click add_@noValenceErrorsand then add a checkmark to the "No valence errors" checkbox. In this case, the student would just see O3- (i.e., without the underline).
