Register as a student and enroll in your course

1. Request a complimentary student access code from your Pearson rep. The representative will ask you to identify the book and edition for your course.
   If your Mastering course is paired with Blackboard, D2L Brightspace, Canvas, Moodle, Sakai, or Schoology

   First, make sure you have a separate account to enter the LMS as a student. (If you don’t, you can make a copy of your Mastering course and enroll in this unpaired version.) Then, see Student Help for using Mastering with an LMS.

   Important: When you create your new student account, enter a different username than your educator account. (Otherwise, you will have issues with your educator account!) The password and email can be the same as for your educator account.

2. Select the course invite link for the course you want to enroll in.

   A course link looks like https://mlm.pearson.com/enrollment/garcia20389, where garcia20389 is the course ID. You can find the course invite link using either of these methods.

   • Select  Details for the course from the My Courses page, then select Get registration instructions.
   • Select invite students from the course card on the My Courses page.

   If you don’t have a course invite link, you can enroll with a Mastering course ID. Go to mlm.pearson.com and select Student under Register. Then select OK! Register Now, enter the course ID, and select Continue.

3. Select Create to create a new Pearson student account.
   If you’ve already created a student account:
   Enter the account username and password.
   • Create a different username from the one you use for your educator account. (Otherwise, you will have issues with your educator account!) You can use the same password as for your educator account.
   • Use your own email address.
4. If asked for a payment option, enter the student access code you received from your sales representative.
5. Select Go to My Courses and open the course by selecting its name.

   Your student access to a course lasts until the course end date.

After you create a student account, you can continue to enroll in other courses with the same student account as long as it's still valid.

• For courses based on the same book edition
  You can enroll as a student in an unlimited number of Mastering courses without being asked for another student access code. The courses can be concurrent or consecutive, spread across several school terms.
• For courses based on a later edition book or a different book
  Contact your Pearson rep to ask for additional student codes. The representative may ask you to identify the book and edition for each Mastering course.
