Grading of multiple-choice questions

• You lose 1/(n-1) points, when n is the number of options to choose from, for each unique wrong answer you submit.
• This grading formula is always in effect, even if your instructor doesn't otherwise charge for wrong answers in the assignment grading policy.

The multiple-choice grading information above doesn't apply to Dynamic Study Modules. Although Dynamic Study Module questions are also multiple-choice, they're scored using a different grading algorithm.

These multiple-choice type questions include the instruction "Select all answers that apply." Note that credit loss for these questions does not follow the same rule as multiple-choice questions with a single correct answer, described above.

If you correctly answer some portions of a "Select all that apply" question and run out of answer attempts, you'll receive partial credit.

• The partial credit is based on the number of correct answers compared to the number of possible correct answers.
• Any wrong answer you submitted does not enter into this calculation.

However, if you correctly answer some portions of a "Select all that apply" question and still have answer attempts remaining, no credit is given.
