Study resources: eTextbook and Study Area

When available, check out the eTextbook (formerly known as eText) and Study Area resources in your Mastering course. These resources can help you study as the course progresses.

Select eText or Pearson eText from the course menu to open the eTextbook. Get started with your eTextbook

Use the Pearson+ app to study on the go with your tablet or phone. Open an eTextbook from the Pearson+ app

Watch bite-sized video explanations of complex topics and practice answering questions. Study Prep may not be available for all fields of study or textbooks.

  • After you open the eTextbook from your course, select "" Study Prep – Videos related to this section from the menu. When available, select ""  Open videos in the margin of an eTextbook page.
  • You can also access Study Prep from the Pearson+ home page in a browser or in the Pearson+ app on a tablet or phone.

Select Study Area from the course menu for a variety of activities for you to go through at your own pace. Any work you do in this area is NOT reported to the Scores page, which is reserved for graded assignments. More about the Study Area
