Set up your browser
Before you can work in your course, you must enable third-party cookies and disable your pop-up blocker.

Pop-up blockers or ad-blocking software may prevent you from installing course components and from accessing your course. You should disable this kind of software before running the Browser Check or trying to use any part of your course.
Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Internet Explorer all come with built-in pop-up blockers.
If you have browser extensions that block pop-ups, you must disable or uninstall them.
Refer to the Pearson Support website and search for pop-up blockers. The search results list articles for the different browsers.

To work in your course, your browser must be set to accept cookies from www.mathxl.com.
A cookie is a small piece of data that your course stores on your computer. This data is used to track your identity and your choices when you move from one page to another in your course. For example, a cookie is used to remember who you are when you go from the Extra Practice page to the Activities page.
The procedures for enabling cookies differs from browser to browser. For current information, go to the Pearson Support website and search for accepting cookies. The search results list articles for the different browsers.
