Use the calculator

For some math questions, you may be able to use an online calculator to help you solve the problem. If a calculator is available, you see a calculator button in the help for the question.

The online calculator works like a real calculator. You can use the keys on your keyboard or use your mouse to click the buttons on the calculator.

You can transfer your answers from the calculator directly into your question:

1. Click in the answer box where you want to enter your calculation.
2. Click Question Help and click the calculator entry in the drop-down menu.
3. Do your calculation.
4. When you have the answer, you can transfer it to the question in one of these ways:
   • Clicking the Enter key on the calculator.
   • Copying the answer from the calculator by highlighting the number and pressing Ctrl c on your keyboard. Then place your cursor in the answer box and press Ctrl v to paste in the number.
