Record an audio comment

You can record an audio comment for a student's submission to a composition or collaboration assignment. An audio comment can be up to five minutes in length. You can re-record an audio comment as often as you need, and each recording completely overwrites the previous recording. The composing space automatically saves your recorded comment and attaches it to the student's submission.

The composing space does not transcribe your audio comments. For students who cannot access an audio recording, one option is to type your comments in the composing space, and another is to attach a document file with your comments.

Note: The first time you open a submission in the composing space you need to allow the Flash Player access your microphone. See The Flash Player settings for more information.

The Audio Comment buttons reflect the state of the recording. After you record a comment, the Stop button changes to the Play button, and when you play a recording the Play button changes to the Pause button. (Show me the buttons.)
