Notes on using WriteClick

• WriteClick locks your document once it starts checking your text. When you close the WriteClick review window, it unlocks your document.

• The WriteClick review window needs to be closed after each review. When you click the Apply button to apply the changes to your text, the window automatically closes. However, for those instances when you do not take an action that closes the window, you need to close it manually (click the x in the upper right) before you can review additional text.
• When you are using WriteClick to review an email message, WriteClick starts the review at the top of the message. Generally this is not an issue, but if you are replying inline to a message you received, you will need to scroll down the review window to find the relevant edits.
• If you experience problems entering text into a web application, it may not be compatible with WriteClick. The workaround for this is to disable WriteClick and then re-enable it later.
• The F2 key does not work on certain types of fields on HTML pages such as password entry fields.

To disable WriteClick:

1. Right-click the WriteClick icon in your computer's system tray.

   

2. Click the Shutdown WriteClick command.
3. Click OK to disable WriteClick.

To disable WriteClick using the floating icon:

1. Click the x in the floating icon.

   

2. Click Yes to disable WriteClick for only the current document or click No to disable WriteClick for all applications.

To re-enable WriteClick:

1. Go to the Windows Start menu and select the Programs – WriteClick – Launch WriteClick command.
