The flow of drafts between you and the instructor

When you submit a draft for a composition, collaboration, peer review, or portfolio assignment, the MyLab makes the draft available to the instructor for review and grading. While the instructor has the draft, you can view it but you cannot revise it.

After the instructor comments on and grades the draft, the MyLab flags it as reviewed and displays the grade on the To Do page. You can then open the draft history to review the instructor's comments and any related links to Resource topics. These topics are also displayed in My Study Plan and flagged in Resources as required.

Tip: If you accidentally submit a document, your instructor has the option of returning it to you before grading it. See the next section for more information.

For an assignment with multiple drafts, you can start on the next draft as soon as the instructor completes the review of the current draft.

Rewrite requested

Your instructor can return a composition or collaboration assignment to you for a rewrite. The assignment is not yet graded, but more than likely has comments to you from the instructor.

When the instructor returns an assignment for a rewrite, the MyLab moves the assignment from your Completed assignments list back to the Due list on the To Do page. The MyLab also displays Rewrite Requested in the Status column. You need to reopen the assignment, then click the Drafts and Comments button to review the instructor's comments if available. Then revise the assignment and submit it to the instructor again.
