Resources
Your MyLab provides Resource topics in Writing, Grammar, and Research. Depending on which MyLab you are using, there may be additional topics. For example, MyLiteratureLab has topics that give you access to the Longman Lectures and Interactive Readings.
For a demo of using Resources, see the video Tour of Resources.
To display Resource topics and assets:

- Click the Resources tab.
- Click an option under My Resources on the Home page.
- Click an option on the left to expand it. For example, click Grammar to list its topics.
- Click a topic to display its subtopics. For example, under Grammar, click Basic Grammar.
- Click a subtopic, for example Nouns, to display its assets in the right frame.
Topic assets
Resource topics can have any or all of the following assets:
- eText or text-based instructions define and provide examples of concepts. Some instructional assets also have a QuickCheck. The QuickCheck poses one or two questions or examples, and you select an answer. The MyLab then lets you know whether the selected answer is correct or incorrect and why.
- Videos, animations, interactive activities, podcasts, and other audio recordings reinforce the topic introduced by the instructional asset. The content of these media assets ranges from showing instructors and students working together to decide on the topic for a paper and strategies for developing a draft to guidelines on peer reviews and avoiding plagiarism.
- Exercises are where you practice and apply what you have learned with the instructional and multimedia assets. The MyLab gives you immediate feedback to an answer, letting you know whether the answer is correct or incorrect, and which answer is correct and why. Within an exercise, the MyLab also provides access to the instructional and multimedia assets to help reinforce the concept. The results of these exercises are logged in the gradebook's Topic Results.
Tips
- Both your instructor and the MyLab can assign Resource topics and assets to you. See Required Resources and My Study Plan for more information.
- You can search all Resource topics for a specific topic or just the document, video, and audio assets you want.
