Required Resources

Required Resources are:

Assets required by your instructor: These are Resource assets that your instructor has flagged as required for all students in the course.
Links to Resource topics added in the composing space: When commenting on composition and collaboration assignments, your instructor can insert comments that include links to Resource topics.
Results of diagnostics: Based on the results of your self-assessment diagnostic or a diagnostic assignment, the MyLab requires Resources that will help you improve your skills.

In Resources and your Gradebook, the MyLab designates required Resources with the following icons:

	Required by Instructor icons flag an asset required by the instructor.
	Required by Diagnostic icons flag assets required by the MyLab as the result of a self-assessment exercise or diagnostic assignment. These types of assets are required on a student-by-student basis.

Tips

My Study Plan lists all your required Resources, and the calendar lists any required Resources with due dates.
If you are working on your own in a MyLab, you will not have instructor-required Resources. However, if you complete the self-assessment diagnostics, the MyLab will require Resources based on your results.
