Automatic Deletion of Courses

Courses are automatically deleted one year after their end date. When the course is deleted, all student scores in the Gradebook are also deleted. This deletion is permanent; a deleted course cannot be retrieved.

You will receive email notifications that the course needs to be deleted prior to the automatic deletion. If you do not want a course automatically deleted, you can change the course's end date to some point in the future (see Edit Course Details).

Before a course is deleted, you can preserve its content by:

Exporting or printing the course's Gradebook reports.
Creating a copy of the course to use in a new section or new semester. (Note that a course copy does not include the original course's Gradebook.)
