Customize the Study Plan

You can use the Study Plan as is—without changing any settings—or you can customize it. You can customize the Study Plan at three levels:

• At a global level, which affects the entire Study Plan
• At a topic level, which affects only a specific topic
• At an activity or exercise level, which affects only that activity or exercise

The Study Plan Properties page has the default, or global, settings for the Study Plan. This is where you specify settings such as:

• Whether reading-skill diagnostic pre-tests and the Reading Level Locator test are required at the start of the course
• Requiring the completion of Recall, Practice and/or Test exercises for mastery
• Whether you will grade short-answer questions manually
• Basing mastery criteria on either a student's most recent or maximum score
• When students have access to tests

You can also customize the settings for just a topic or exercise:

• Hide and show topics
• Hide and show Activity exercises
• Add notes to topics
• Edit a topic's properties to override the Study Plan properties 

Any changes made to the Study Plan are immediately filtered through to the students.

Note: You cannot change the settings for a Study Plan in a course that is linked to another course.
