The Home Page
The Home page is generally the first screen you see when entering a
course. The Home page presents summary information about your course work
and has links to course elements.
- My Course: Displays the
course's name and section as well as your last login
date and time. The MyLab also displays the View Note button if your instructor has posted a note for all students. Click the View Note button to read the full note.
- My Study Plan: Displays the last topic you worked on and the title of the next topic in sequence, for both reading-skill and reading-level (Lexile Level) topics.
You can click a title to go directly to that topic, the View Calendar link to go to the assignment Calendar, or the View button to go to the Study Plan.
- My Gradebook: Displays
the number of topics you have mastered out of the total number of topics.
(Mastered means you have achieved a mastery level; in other words, you
passed the assignment.) The Gradebook block also displays a list of the
last few topics you mastered. The MyLab records your scores in Gradebook reports. Click the View
button in this block or click the Gradebook tab to access these reports (see View the Gradebook Reports).
- Other Resources: Lists
any files your instructor may have posted under My Instructor's Files. Click a file to open it. Once the file is open, you can print it and save it to your computer. The Other Resources block also provides a link to your eText, when your course is based on an eText. The remaining links connect you to resources available to you through the MyLab. Click a
link to visit a resource (see Other
Resources).
At anytime you can return Home by clicking the Home tab.
