Hide and Show Writing Practice Exercises

Use this procedure if you want to hide certain Writing Practice exercises from your students. The MyLab does not display hidden exercises in students' Study Plans and Gradebooks.

Important: The ideal time to hide an exercise is before students have started working in the course. If you hide an exercise that students have already worked in or are working in, note the following:

• The students' work is removed from their Study Plan and from both their Gradebook reports and yours.
• Students cannot retrieve any feedback they have already received on the hidden exercises.
• You may want to send the students an email explaining that you have hidden the exercise and that they can no longer access it.

To hide or show Writing Practice exercises:

1. Click the Study Plan tab.
2. Click Edit Study Plan and Set Due Dates.
3. Click the Writing Practice tab.
4. Click the Hide button for the exercise you want removed from your students' Study Plan.

You can later enable the display of the exercise in the students' Study Plan by repeating this procedure and clicking the exercise's Show button.
