Use the Gradebook > Manage Roster page to view, export, and edit the roster, check when students last logged into your courwse, grant and deny access to the course, and manage enrollments for students, teaching assistants, and instructors.
You can review the following information on the Gradebook > Manage Roster page:
Name: Name of users enrolled in the course
Student ID: Student ID number
To edit a student ID, select Edit Student IDs from the options menu of the Student ID column, make any required changes, and click Save.
Role: Role of a user in the course; options are student, instructor,
or TA
Status:
Status of the user; options are active, inactive, or unregistered
Username: Username to access the course
Last Login: The most recent date and time at which the user signed in to the course
Last Logout: The most recent date and time at which the user signed out of the course
Note: To sort roster columns, click a column header.
Change roster list display
Use the View menu in the top-left corner of the roster to filter the roster list by:
All Users All course member names appear
Students: Only student names appear
Teaching Assistants: Only teaching assistant names appear
Instructor: Only instructor names appear
Unregistered Students: Only names of students who have not yet registered appear
Registered Students: Only names of registered students appear
Enrolled students only: Only names of students who are currently enrolled appear
Unenrolled: Only names of students who unenrolled appear
Denied: Only names of students who have been denied access appear
You can download the roster in comma-separated values (.csv)
format.
The .csv file contains student data in the following order:
Name: Name of the users enrolled in the course
StudentID: Student ID number provided by your institution
Role: Role of the user in the course; options are student, instructor, or TA
Status: Status of the user; options are active, inactive, or unregistered
UserName: Username to access the course
LastLogin: Most recent date on which the user signed in to the course
LastLogout: Most recent date on which the user signed out of the course
To download the roster:
From the Gradebook > Manage Roster page, click Download.
Follow the prompts to open or save the file, and to choose an application to use:
To open the file, click Open. If, after viewing the file you want to save it, select Save from the appropriate menu in the application you used to view the file.
To save the file, click Save. Select a destination for the file and click Save.
