Add question hints

You can enter up to three hints while you are creating or editing a question. Students can view the question hints when they attempt to answer the question.

To add hints while creating a question:

1. After you add a question, click the Hints section.
2. Enter any hints you want to include with your question. You can enter up to three hints.
3. To format hint text, click the Edit button to open the content editor. If audio is enabled for your course, you can also record a hint.

To add hints while editing a question:

1. Click the options menu icon to the left of the question you want to edit and then click Edit.
2. Click the Hints section.
3. Enter any hints you want to include with your question. You can enter up to three hints.
4. To format hint text, click the Edit button to open the content editor. If audio is enabled for your course, you can also record a hint.
