Display and edit the welcome message

The welcome message lets you create an introductory message for your students. For example, the welcome message might include an image or text that summarizes the material you are teaching or your course philosophy and objectives. Pearson may have included a message, which you can keep or edit to meet your needs.

You determine whether the welcome message appears to students in the Notifications area and, if so, what the message says.

  1. Go to the Today's View page.
  2. Click Customize on the Notifications channel toolbar.
  3. Select or clear Enable Welcome Message.
  4. If you want the message to appear when students first open their course, select Welcome Message in the Default View list.
  5. Click Save and Close.

  4. Use the content editor to change the welcome message.
  5. Click Save and Close.
