Unassign materials

You may decide to unassign an activity that you previously assigned. If you unassign an activity after there are already submissions, the student grades are still available, but the score is no longer included in the computation of course grades.
To change the due date for an activity, see Change due dates. To remove the due date for an activity, but keep the activity assigned, see Assign materials without due dates.
- Click Assignment Calendar > Instructor Assignment Calendar or clickAssign Course Materials. If you do not see this page, see Enable calendar for details on displaying it.
- Click View Advanced Calendar.
- Click the day on which the assignments are currently due to switch to the Day view.
- Select the check boxes for the assets you want to unassign. To select all the assets, click Select All at the top of the list.
- Click Unassign.
- Click OK to confirm.
The activity is no longer listed as assigned and all assignment status icons related to the asset are removed.
On the Assignment Calendar page, a blue check mark icon indicates an asset assigned without a due date and a gray check mark icon indicates an unassigned asset .
- From the Course Materials > Manage Course Materials or the Assign Course Materials > Manage Course Materials, select assigned assets you want to unassign. Note that assets assigned without a due date display a blue checkmark ; assets assigned with a due date display a due icon .
- Click the Assign/Unassign button.
The asset is no longer assigned, and all assignment status icons related to the asset are removed from the Assigned column.
