- From the Add Course Materials menu, select Create Question Group.
- In Group name type a name for the question group.
- From the Preview list at the top of the window, select the option you want to display when you preview the question group. The available options depend on the questions you add to the group, but may include:
- Direction Line: Preview the direction lines for the group.
- Name of narrative pages associated with the questions you added to the group.
- In the Directions section, enter the directions for the question group in the content editor.
- Click Add Question. Expanded subsections show "Edit" before the section title. Collapsed subsections show "Add" before the section title. To expand a section and enter items, click Add <section name>. To collapse a section for more screen space, click Edit <section name>.
- To open the Question Bank and select questions, click Add from Question Bank.
- From the Select questions window, select the questions you want to include in the question group. You can select available questions directly from the Question Bank or by clicking View Questions by Learning Objectives. The View Contents by Learning Objective option appears only if learning objectives are enabled in your course.
- Use the Filter Content options to view only specific question types.
- Click Show preview and click a question to preview it.
- Click Add to select another question or click Add and Close to return to the Create Question Group page.
- If necessary, use the order
icon to reorder the questions in the section.
- Click Save and Close.
When you view a question group on the Course Materials > MyTest page, you can see only the question types that can be added to a test: essay, fill-in-the-blank, matching, multiple choice, multiple response, and true/false.
