Map questions to learning objectives

The Course Materials > Map Objectives to Questions page displays the Question Bank on the left and Learning Objectives on the right. On this page, you can align questions to learning objectives. For information on aligning other types of course materials, such as activities, to learning objectives, see Map course materials to learning objectives.

  1. Click Course Materials > Additional Instructor Views > Map Objectives to Questions.
  2. From the Question Bank on the left, locate and select the questions you want to map. Note that if questions appear in folders, you must open each folder to select questions within a folder.

    You cannot map simulation questions to learning objectives, but you can map simulation activities to them. For more information, see Map course materials to learning objectives.

  3. In the Learning Objectives list on the right, open the folder where you want to add the questions. If you want to create new folders, see Create and edit learning objective folders.
  4. Click Add.

    The selected questions are added to the open learning objectives folder. You can use the question's options menu to edit, remove, preview, and control whether the question is available (shown) or not available (hidden) to students.

    You cannot create new questions in the Learning Objectives list. You must create new questions in the Question Bank before you can add them to a learning objective folder.

Remove question mapping

  1. Click Course Materials > Additional Instructor Views > Map Objectives to Questions.
  2. In the Learning Objectives list on the right, navigate to the question you want to remove.
  3. To remove a single question, select Remove from the question's options menu.

    To remove one or more questions, select the questions and then click Remove on the toolbar.

  4. Click OK to confirm that you want to remove the question(s).
