Search for people
You can search for people's accounts to see:
- Personal details, including name, email address, school, role, username, and account modified and create dates
- Subscriptions to each module (piece of content) within a product
- Enrollments to courses through MMND registration
- Transactions or orders
Important: You can view but not change a person's details. For changes, contact dcps@pearson.com.
To search for a person:
- On the Search page, click or tap the People icon.
- Enter a username, email address, or first and last name. You can enter any combination of terms, but a username gets you the closest match.
- Click or tap Search. If results are found, they appear in a list below the Search box.
- Select a result to go to the people details.
About search terms
To get the results you want, use the following guidelines to enter your search terms.
Tips
- Use an asterisk ( *) to replace any number of characters, or use a question mark (?) to replace a single character. A search term of jane* returns Jane, Janet, and Jannifer. A search term of jane? returns Janet, Janel, and Jane2. Don't use the asterisk at the beginning or middle of your search term.
- When you search for people, your search terms must be a minimum of five characters. If your search term has fewer characters, use an asterisk * or question mark (? )at the end of your search term. Don't use the asterisk at the beginning or middle of your search term.
- You can enter multiple search terms separated by spaces. More search terms get you more results.
- Search terms are not case-sensitive.
Username
Entering a username is most likely to give you the result you want. There's only one account associated with a username. Make sure you enter the username exactly, so it appears at the top of the results.
A username is often made up of a person's email address or name (for example, jane.austen@email.com). If the username is the same as the email address, you might have to look through the first few results to find the one you want.
Email address
If you don't know the username, enter the person's email address. An email address can be related to multiple accounts, so you might need to look through the results to find the one you want.
If a person has duplicate accounts and doesn't know which one to use, enter an email address to see all the associated accounts.
First and last name
Enter a first and last name if that is all you know about a person, or if you need to broaden your search.
