Adding Contact Information

An account might contain the user's contact information, including email address and telephone number.

To add an email address:

  1. Under Contact Information, in the Email Address box, enter the user's email address (for example, student@college.edu).

    Note: RADmin checks whether the email address is valid. If it is not, an error message appears.

  2. If there are multiple email addresses and the user prefers to be contacted at one, select the Primary option. If there is only one email address, this option is automatically selected.

    Tip: To add another email address, click Add and go to step 1. To remove an email address, click Delete icon. If the email address you want to remove is primary, first assign another email address as the primary.

To add a phone number:

  1. From the Type list, select the category of the user's phone number (for example, Home).
  2. From the Country Code list, select the country and country code associated with the user's telephone number.
  3. In the Phone Number box, enter the telephone number in the format associated with the user's country with or without dashes. (For example, in the U.S. and Canada, enter 123-456-7891 or 1234567891.) Do not include the country code.
  1. In the Extension box, enter a telephone extension, if applicable.
  2. If there are multiple phone numbers and the user prefers to be contacted at one, select the Primary option. If there is only one telephone number, this option is automatically selected.

    Tip: To add another phone number, click Add and go to step 1. To remove a phone number, click Delete icon. If the phone number you want to remove is primary, first assign another number as the primary.

Note: If you are editing an already existing account, Alternate Contextinformation displays along with your contact information. Alternate Context information indicates that the user came from another registration system (for example, SMS). If the user was copied over from another system, the Alternate Context ID and Alternate Context from that system displays.
