Question help (learning aids)
When students do homework or Study Plan work in the student player, they can access question help such as Help me solve this, a step-by-step tutorial, or View an example. In addition, the Get more help menu offers other tutorial help. Question help can include videos, animations, PowerPoint presentations, and so on.
You can enable question help for tests and quizzes.
You can choose what types of question help are available at the course level, the assignment level, and the individual question level:
- Edit course settings to choose what question help is available in your course.
When you remove question help at the course level, it is not available for any assignment or practice work.
If you edit course-level settings after assignment-level settings are applied, the assignment settings are overridden but preserved. If you edit the course-level settings again and restore question help, the original assignment-level settings are restored and course-level settings are ignored.
- Edit assignment settings to choose what question help is available for an assignment.
- Choose question help for individual questions from the View Question Details page.
- Make question help available only when students review their work. See Choose assignment settings.
If available in your course, students also can access:
- Ask My instructor - lets students email questions to the course instructor. The email automatically includes the question information.
If you use the Pearson LockDown Browser for a test or quiz, learning aids are not available to students while they are doing the assignment. However, you can enable learning aids when students review locked-down tests or quizzes.
