Import results
You can import results when a student transfers into your course from a course with the same or similar assignments.
From your Gradebook, select More Tools > Import Previous Results
When assignments are the same in both courses, imports include:
- Student work on individual questions
- Assignment scores on all attempts
- Submission dates
- Time spent on each question
- Study Plan results
When assignments are similar, you can import only the scores for assignments with the same name and number of points.
Offline results are not imported.
When you are importing from a previous edition or a similar book, you can map previous assignments to current versions. If you map assignments with a different number of questions, point values are adjusted to show the correct percentage scores. For example, when a student has a 50% score on an assignment with 10 questions previously and 8 questions in your course, the student's new result becomes 4/8.
For questions that were scored as correct or replaced, only the scores and dates are imported.
If an assignment in your course has a prerequisite that a student successfully completed in the previous course, the prerequisite results are applied to the assignment in your course.
If a student has results from more than one course using the same textbook, only the results from the most recent course are imported.
Student results remain in their previous course and are restored if the student re-enrolls.
Enable automatic import to check for and import previous results when students enroll in your course. Results for students who are already enrolled are not automatically imported, but you can import their results manually.
