If you ran the Browser Check, you already installed the Pearson LockDown Browser, if it's needed in your course.
When you are taking a locked-down test or quiz, you may see a warning icon
on the "Are you ready to start?" page. If so, you need to check whether the LockDown Browser is installed.
To check for the LockDown Browser:
- When you take a locked-down test or quiz, click Check Your Browser on the "Are you ready to start?" page.
- On the Check Your Browser page, click View a test page.
A test window pops up. If you see a "success" message, you already have the LockDown Browser installed. If the page is blank or you see an error message, you need to install the LockDown Browser.
- If you didn't see the success message, click install the Pearson LockDown Browser to open the Browser Check.
- Click Install the Pearson LockDown Browser now.
- When the LockDown Browser is installed, dismiss the Browser Check and click I am ready to start on the Check Your Browser page to begin taking the test or quiz.
The next time you take a locked-down test or quiz, you do not need to install the LockDown Browser.
