Writing assignments

Writing assignments require you to write sentences or essays. You access writing assignments like other assignments but do the work in an app that is similar to Microsoft® Word.

Drafts automatically save as you work to minimize lost work if you lose internet connection while completing the assignment.

You can review the prompt and rubric at any time while completing your submission.

You can embed external media such as web hosted images or YouTube™ videos in your submission.

If your instructor enabled instant feedback, select Get instant feedback next to the writing area. This tells you the number of instant feedback reviews still available for the assignment.

After you submit a writing assignment, your Results page shows incomplete for the score until your instructor grades your work. After your instructor grades the assignment, you can see your score and review their comments from your Results page.
