Introduction to Audio Text Synch up

The eText Viewer audio text feature plays audio from an eText. Playback is in the local language of the eText.

In order to use this feature, your eText must have the Audio Synch feature enabled in it. If it does, you will see the following button on the toolbar.

Audio text is supported in both online and offline versions of the Viewer.

Toggling Audio Mode

To switch to Audio mode, click the Audio Mode button.

When you enter Audio mode, the following changes occur in the Viewer:

Interaction of Audio Text with Other eText Features

The following table lists the features that pause audio playback, stop it entirely, and exit audio mode. Also listed are the features that you can use without affecting playback.

Pauses playback; click the Play button to resume playback from wherever the audio stopped.

Stops playback; the current position of the playback is not saved. To start playback again from the beginning of the audio flow, click the Play button.

Switching to Whiteboard view

Stops playback and exits from Audio mode. All audio flows are disabled and hidden When you switch back to Browse view, audio mode is re-enabled; the current position of the playback is not saved. To resume playback from the beginning of the audio flow, click the Play button.
