eTextbook settings and accessibility

After you open your eTextbook you may want to adjust your display settings, like to hide any highlights.
Select from the eTextbook menu, whether using your eTextbook in a web browser or in the Pearson+ app .
- Most eTexts —
Control color mode (light, sepia, or dark), text size, font, character case, line spacing, and show/hide highlights. If you hide highlights in the book, any note markers ( or ) remain in the margin. - PDF eTextbooks —
Control zoom, single- or double-page view, and show/hide hotspots or highlights. PDF eTextbook pages match the print textbook pages exactly.
The eTextbook is screen reader accessible, although some content might be inaccessible. In addition to accessibility tools you might use on your laptop, like a screen magnifier, your eTextbook might provide the following.
- Audiobook —
Select from the page bottom to control the audio for the book page. The audiobook is available for most eTextbooks, although not for PDF eTextbooks. (PDF eTextbook pages match the print textbook pages exactly.) - eTextbook display settings —
Select from the menu to change eTextbook display settings, like whether to hide/show highlights or to change the color mode to light, sepia, or dark.Display settings are available when working with your eTextbook in a web browser or in the Pearson+ app .
- Accessibility info from Pearson —
From most eTextbook content pages, select your initials (top right) to open your account settings, then select Accessibility.
You and your students can select Focus (bottom right) to read in the eTextbook with less distraction.
- Focus hides the eTextbook menu, giving you more space to read your eTextbook.
- The menu opens the next time you open eTextbook, even if your last session had Focus enabled.
Other settings to avoid reading distraction
Select from the eTextbook menu to control the text font and case, show/hide highlights, or make other adjustments.

Reduce the number of eTextbooks shown in your Pearson+ library by archiving them. You can always unarchive them later so that they reappear in your library.
- Go to Pearson+ in a web browser or open the Pearson+ app .
- Select whether to show All of your eTextbooks or filter to show only Active or Inactive titles.
- Choose either Select all or select individual books to archive. To see which MyLab or Mastering course an eTextbook is associated with, select the eTextbook from the library.
- Select Archive.
To show archived books later — Select All, choose Archived, select the archived titles you want to reappear in your library, and then choose Unarchive.
