Types of media files you can add to items

Static images

JPG (standard compression format)

GIF in RGB format (no CYMK)

PNG (portable network graphic) for Labeling answer overlays

Moving images

MP4 video files

FLV animation files

SWF animation files

Audio

MP3 audio files

AAC audio files

Supporting files

Caption files and audio description files (.xml)

Playlist files (.xml) of multiple videos that play sequentially

 

To add media to an item:

  1. Upload or copy the file(s) to a server. File names cannot contain spaces.
  1. Add the pertinent tag (such as img or media) where you want the file to appear in the item, and specify attributes for it.

To upload a file as an asset:

  1. In the Manage this Item menu, select Manage Assets.
  2. If the file is less than 1 MB, click Browse and select the file. If needed, remove any spaces in the file name or replace them with underscores.
  1. To avoid typos, copy the name or path so you can later paste it into the Item Editor.
  2. Click Update.
  3. Close the Item Assets window.

To add tags in the Item Editor

Use one or more of the following tags to place media files in an item:
