Enter value with unit answers from your keyboard

Use the following keystrokes to enter formats and symbols for text boxes in the numeric values with units of measurement answer type.
- Students can use these same keystrokes to answer these kinds of questions on a computer. Otherwise they can use the toolbar options above the answer box for this answer type.
- See the Accepted units list for the units part of the answer.

Although students must enter the backslash (\) character before these terms in their typed responses, you don't need to enter the backslash when working with these symbols in the Units portion of answer boxes in the numeric values with units of measurement answer type in the Simple Editor.
