Learning Catalytics assignments

Learning Catalytics is an interactive assignment application that your instructor can use in your course. Depending on your instructor's preferences, you might do assignments (called "sessions") in class while your instructor manages everyone's work, or you might work with a team of students, or on your own outside of class. You work through a Learning Catalytics session online using a laptop, tablet, or smartphone.

When Learning Catalytics is available in your course, the Course Home page displays the Learning Catalytics button. When a Learning Catalytics session is active, the button changes to Learning Catalytics: Join Now or Learning Catalytics: Join Session in Progress.

• Learning Catalytics: Select this button to cross over to Learning Catalytics, but not work on a session.
• Learning Catalytics: Join Now or Join Session in Progress: Select this button to cross over to Learning Catalytics and work on a session. This button is displayed for sessions that you need to work on in class as well as for homework sessions that you can work on outside of class.

You must cross over from the MyLab and Mastering (MLM) course that has the Learning Catalytics assignments that you want to work on. If you cross over from a different course or login from the Learning Catalytics website, your grades will not transfer to your MLM course.

In many courses, access to Learning Catalytics is included when you pay for the online course. If not, when you initially cross over you're prompted to sign up and pay for access.

Grade transfer

Your instructor can choose to have your session scores automatically transferred to your MyLab course's Results page. You can review these scores as you would for other assignments. See Review a Learning Catalytics session for more information.
