A student opens the assignment and then upload and attach up to three the file(s) in the composing space. The student then submits the assignment and its attachment(s) to you.
When you open the student's submission, you can open and read the attachment(s) or save it to your computer. If you save the attachment, you can enter comments in the saved copy, then attached your commented file to the assignment, enter a score, and submit it to the student. The student will receive your commented file and can open it in the draft history window.
With this type of assignment, students can submit up to three file attachments.
As soon as one student in a group/team flags the assignment as complete, it is submitted to you for review and a grade. You can then review the student comments in the composing space and, if applicable, review the attached file. When you receive a peer reviewer's submission, you have access to any files that were attached to the base assignment in addition to the peer reviewer's comments. You have the option of attaching a new document with your comments to the peer-reviewer's submission. After you grade it, the peer-reviewer can open your attachment in the draft history window.
Students can add assignment submissions with attached files to a portfolio. They can also create a personal document and attach up to three files to it in the composing space and then add the saved document with its attachments to the portfolio. Students can add multiple documents with one to three file attachments to the portfolio.
