Add comments to student submissions
When you are reviewing a student submission for a composition, collaboration, or peer-review assignment, you can use the following methods to comment on the document:
- Click and type. Click in the composing space and type your comments. Your comments appear in bold blue, and you can edit and reformat them.
- Attach a file with your comments. Whether a free-form critique of the student's submission or an edit of a student's document, you can create and attach a file with your comments to the student's submission. This option is available only when the assignment's setting Allow Attachments for Submissions is set to Yes.
- Insert a My Comment. Also in the composing space, these are comments that you find yourself using repeatedly but that are not in the list of Common Errors. You can save a My Comment and, optionally, equip it with links to remedial Resource topics. The MyLab will flag these topics as required by the instructor in the student's Resources and My Study Plan.
- Record an audio comment. You record the comment in the composing space, and it attaches the recording to the student's document. When the student receives the document, she or he can listen to the audio recording from the document's draft history.
