Create, edit, and insert a My Comment

1. Click the Create New button under My Comments in the composing space Toolkit.

   The Create/Edit a Comment window opens.

2. Enter a Title for the comment. (You select a comment using its title.)
3. Enter the text of the Comment (up to 4000 characters). (This is the text that will appear in the student's text.)
4. (Optional) Do the following to add links to Resource topics to the comment:
   1. Expand the topic grouping and find the topic you want (in the right panel of the window).
   2. Select the check boxes of the topics you want to link to. As you select topics, the MyLab lists them under Topics Selected.
5. Click the Save button.

As you add comments, the MyLab lists them in a drop-down list under My Comments in the Toolkit. When you select a comment, its description and linked Resources are also displayed.

Any changes you make to a comment are in effect the next time you insert that comment. The MyLab does not apply the changes to prior uses of that comment.

1. Select the comment from the My Comments drop-down list in the Toolkit.
2. Click the Edit button.
3. Edit the comment as needed and click the Save button. (See "To create a comment" above for information on the options.)

1. Click in the student's text where you want the comment to appear.
2. Select the comment from the My Comments drop-down list.
3. Click the Insert button.

   The MyLab displays any links to Resource topics in the draft history (not in the text editor). The student can see the links when reviewing your comments.

To delete a comment that you added to a student's text, select and delete the comment as you would any text.

Use these steps to delete a comment from the My Comments list:

1. Select the comment in the My Comments drop-down list in the Toolkit.
2. Click the Edit button.

   The Create/Edit a Comment window is displayed.

3. Click the Delete button.
