Edit a Writing Skill Topic's Properties
You can override the Study Plan properties for a topic by editing the topic's properties. For example, you can change the mastery score for a topic or specify a different number of practice sets. You can also reset the edited properties to the global Study Plan properties.
To change a topic's properties:
-
Click the Study Plan tab.
- Click Edit Study Plan and Set Due Dates.
- Click a topic grouping to display its topics (on the Writing Skills tab).
Some topic groupings are further subdivided into more topic groupings. The Set Properties button is displayed only for topic lists; if this button is not displayed, you are viewing a sublist of topic groupings. Continue clicking topic groupings to drill down to a topic list.
- Click Set Properties button for a topic.
- Do any of the following:
- Change the settings as needed. (See Study Plan Properties for details on the settings.)
For Write activities, also select the Write Exercise Questions you want displayed to students and, optionally, create your own questions.

- Click the Create a Question button.
- Enter the question in the first text box.
- (Optional) Enter a suggested answer in the Question Feedback text box. (This feedback is for your information only.)
- Click the Save button.
- Select your question to have it displayed to students.
