Global navigation links and icons appear at the top of each page in your course. These links can include:
Home: Opens your My Courses and Testbanks page where you can see a list of all the courses in which you are enrolled. Some courses display a home icon on the top-left of the page; other courses include a home link in the top-right corner of the page. The My Courses and Testbanks page has its own Help content; to see it, click the Help link in the top right corner of that page.
Sign out: Ends your session and opens the sign in page.
Navigation toolbar
The navigation toolbar provides access to all of the pages (tabs) available in your course.
To navigate to another course page:
Click any tab to open that page. Note that the pages available to you and the order in which they appear are set by Pearson. Instructors can also grant or deny access to specific pages for teaching assistants.
Some pages link to additional course pages below them in the hierarchy. The names of these pages appear directly below the main navigation toolbar when the page is open. Click any page name to view that page.
Toolbars
Often, other toolbars appear above lists on a page. The toolbar contains actions, such as Copy, Paste, or Remove, that you can use to control items that appear in that list. Toolbar functions are a convenient way to apply the same action to one or more items in a list.
When viewing a list of course materials; for example, from a Course Materials
page in the student view or the Manage Course Materials page in the instructor view, you can:
Click any folder or asset name to open the folder or asset. For details, see Navigate folders.
Place your cursor over an asset name and click the down arrow to view that asset's options menu. For details, see Use options menus.
Use the page navigation at the bottom of the page to view additional assets or to select a particular page to view. Page navigation appears only when the number of available assets exceeds the number of assets that can appear on one page.
Session timeout
If you log into your course but are inactive for 90 minutes, your work session times out.
After 88 minutes of inactivity, an alert window appears at the top of the screen two minutes before the scheduled session time out. A warning message “Your session will timeout in 02:00 (MM:SS) due to inactivity. Would you like to continue your session or sign out?” appears. Click Continue to continue with the session or click Logout to end the session.
