Note: In MyLanguageLabs, you build readiness checks and practice tests with study plans using the study plan activity type.
Traditionally, students could take a readiness check pre-test one time. However, you can now set a pre-test Number of attempts preference on the Study Plan preference page. With this option, you can specify a number of pre-test attempts, or allow unlimited attempts.
However, after one or more students have accessed the readiness check, you cannot make changes to pre-test preferences; the Edit option no longer appears on the pre-test options menu.
To make changes to an already-started pre-test, you need to reset the pre-test for all students who have already opened it. After you reset the pre-test, students can again access the pre-test as many times as you specified.
To reset pre-tests:
Click Course Materials > Add from Library or Course Materials > Manage Course Materials.
Locate the readiness check with the pre-test you want to reset.
Select Edit from the readiness checkoptions menu.
Select View Submissions from the pre-test options menu.
Select the student name and click All submissions from this student.
Repeat these steps for each student who started or submitted a pre-test that you want to edit.
Note: Teaching assistants must have permission to reset study plans. Instructors use the Preferences > Permissions page to determine what features are available to teaching assistants.
