Run embedded reports

Embedded reports are pre-set reports that show usage data for course activities, questions, and student results. You cannot customize embedded reports. These reports are generally not enabled in courses since they are not as robust as other reports.

Embedded reports are not available from the Gradebook > Reports page. To enable embedded reports you must select Enable embedded reporting on the Preferences > General page.

When enabled in the course, the available embedded reports are:

  • Activity Reports: These reports provide summary data on the percentage of students that passed or failed the activity.

    To view embedded activity reports, you select Activity Report 1 (or Activity Report 2) from the activity options menu. For details see, Embedded activity reports.

  • Student Reports: These reports provide summary data on the number of activities attempted, passed, and failed, and the average score for those activities.

    To view embedded student reports, you select the report from the Reports menu on the Gradebook > Grades page toolbar. For details see, Embedded student reports.

  • Question Reports: These reports provide summary data about course questions and their usage.

    To view embedded question reports, you select the report from the Reports menu on the Course Content > Manage Question Library page toolbar. For details see, Embedded question reports.
