Add HTML pages

Use the Add Page option to create blank HTML pages. You can then add links, references, or other material to the page to make that material available in your course.

Notes

  • The best way to add activities (create assignments) is with the Course Materials Wizard. To access the wizard, select Course Materials from the menu bar. This wizard lets you add assignments by taking you to the Course Materials Library, copy materials from another course using the Course Materials Library, and manage your content library. Refer to Using the Course Materials Wizard for more information.
  • You can also add activities from the Course Materials Library and then move them to the My Course list where you can set appropriate scheduling. Use the Course Materials wizard to access the library.
  • Another option is to add an activity to the My Course list. If you do that, you will be prompted to save the new activity to the Course Materials Library. In this case, navigate to and select the Course Materials Library folder where you want to save the activity and then click Add and Close.
  1. Go to the Course Materials > Add from Library or Course Materials > Manage Course Materials page.
  2. Click Add Course Materials. (MyLab Languages only)
  3. Select Add Page.
  4. In Title, type an HTML page title of up to 250 characters.
  5. In Description, type an HTML page description of up to 1200 characters.
  6. In Time to Complete, enter the time in hours and minutes (HH:MM) that you expect students will need to read the page. The time you enter is an estimate used to calculate the percentage of course work completed by the student. The time does not limit the actual time students have to complete the activity.
  7. In URL, enter a URL of up to 2000 characters.
  8. In Character set, select the character set you need. If you are not sure if you need to change the character set, keep the default, 7-bit ISO 2022.
  9. Select the Enable common errors check box to make a file on how to address common errors available in the common errors list while grading essay questions.
  10. Use the content editor to create the page.
  11. Click Save and Return.
  1. Select Edit from the page options menu.
  2. Make the appropriate changes.
  3. Click Save.
