Submitting Quiz Results to your Instructor

After you take a quiz, you need to send the quiz results to your instructor. To do so, you complete the form at the bottom of the Quiz Results page:

  1. After you take a quiz, click the Submit Answers for Grading button at the bottom of the page. The Quiz Results page appears.
  2. Scroll to the section named Email Your Results at the bottom of the page. If you created a profile, the email addresses and email formats you defined appear in the form. If you did not create a profile, or if your profile information does not display, fill in the form as follows:
  3. In the My name is boxes, type your first and last name. The results email will be shown as coming from this name.
  4. Under Email my results to, click the box to the left of Instructor, as well as the boxes to the left of other staff members who should receive results.
  5. Type each recipient's email address in the box on the right.
  6. In the drop-down box on the far right, click an option for how to send results to each recipient:
    • As text in the body of an email message
    • As HTML in the body of an email message
    • As a text attachment to an email message
    • As an HTML attachment to an email message
  7. Note: HTML is preferable to text because the images that appear in your quiz results will appear in an HTML message. Text messages include no images but are safer because they can be read with any email program. Confirm with your instructor that he or she is able to read HTML messages before sending them.

  8. When you finish filling in the information, click the Email Results button.

Quiz results sometimes treated as spam

As the problem of email spam has grown, many network administrators and Internet Service Providers have installed spam-blocking programs that filter out email that looks like it could be spam. These spam blockers sometimes treat the email messages used to send quiz results as spam. For more information, see Spam blockers may block quiz results in the Instructor Help.
