Pearson Account Profile
From your Pearson Account Profile:
- Under Your Account Information, you can see and edit information that you entered for your account during registration. This includes your email address, school, login name, password, and security question.
- Under You Have Access to the Following Products, you can see all the websites and courses you can access from this account and when your access expires. You can also go to any product website by clicking the appropriate link.
- You can click Email Account Profile if you want the account information sent to you by email.
Editing Your Account Information
On the Edit Account Information page, you can change your personal and school information, login name and password, and security question.
To open the Edit Account Information page:
Under Your Account Information on the Pearson Account Profile page, click Edit Account Information.
To edit your personal information:
- From the Title list, select the title you want to use (for example, Professor, Dr., or Ms.).
- If you want to edit your first or last names, contact Pearson Support.
- In the Email box, enter a valid email address that you want to associate with your account. For guidelines, see Acceptable Characters.
To edit your school information:

To update your login name and password:
- In the Create a Login Name box, enter a login name that is at least four characters. We recommend that you use your email address.
- In the Create a Password box, enter a password that is at least eight characters long. The password must contain at least one number and one letter. In the Re-type Your Password box, enter your password again.
Follow these login name and password guidelines:
- You can use these symbols: @ (at sign) . (period) - (hyphen/dash) _ (underscore).
- Do not use spaces, other characters or symbols, or non-English characters (such as é).
- Create a password that is different from your login name.

To edit the security question or answer:
- From the Security Question list, select the question that you want to be asked to verify your identity. This question is used when you contact Pearson Support for assistance with your Pearson account.
- In the Your Answer box, enter the answer to the security question you choose.
To save your changes:
Click Save at the bottom of the Edit Account Information page. If there are errors, a message will let you know what information you must change or provide.
Taking another course?
Use the same login name and password for all your subjects! With just one Pearson account, you see all your courses, classes, and other Pearson websites listed in one Pearson Account Profile. In addition, you only need to remember one login name and password to access them all.
You can enroll in a new CourseCompass course or join a new online class. Make sure that you have:
- A current email address and updated personal information
- A course ID for CourseCompass or a class ID for an online class
- An access code, or a credit card or PayPal for buying access online
To enroll in a continuation course that uses the same course material as the previous semester, you only need the course ;ID or class ID provided by your instructor.
