Add custom questions to assignments

You add your custom questions to homework, tests, and quizzes in the usual way by using the Assignment Manager (Homework/Test Manager) or Assignment wizard. After you have created custom questions, the question names display in the Available Questions list preceded by a plus sign. Custom essay questions, which are available only for tests and quizzes, are identified by the paper icon ().

Be sure to preview your custom questions from the Assignment Manager or the Assignment wizard to ensure that they are fully compatible with your player. Questions created in Flash might not display correctly in courses that use the new, mobile-friendly HTML5 player.

In the Assignment Manager or Assignment wizard, you can specify which custom questions display:

• The Show Custom questions (+) for this book option displays the custom questions you associated with the textbook for the current course.
• The Show other Custom questions option displays all your custom questions. You can click Refine Selection to display only the custom questions that meet specific criteria.
