Math palette

The math palette contains math symbols and notation that your students need to complete questions. Students click a button in the palette to insert the object into their answer.

Most publisher-provided questions display eight buttons on the palette, with a More option so that students can access more buttons:

When you are designing your question, you can specify what buttons display on the math palette. The Customize button brings up the Edit Tool Palette window, where you can choose which buttons to display to students in the math palette for your question.

The math palette displays automatically in mathematics courses. You can check Show Tool Palette in the Edit Tool Palette window to display the palette for questions in other disciplines.
