Course roster
Updated 06 Nov 2023
The course roster lists all students enrolled in your course, and shows each student's name, email, role, status, and access information. (Section instructors display on a separate section instructors list, not on the course roster.)
What you can do with the course roster
- Use the roster to make a student active/inactive in a course and promote a student to the role of teaching assistant.
- View a student's username, print the roster, and export the roster to a file.
Open the roster
Open the roster using either of these methods.
- If available in your course, select Manage Course from the main menu, and then select Course Roster for MyLab, or Roles and Enrollment Status for Mastering. (In some courses, select Course Roster under Course Tools.)
- Select Back to my courses to select either:
- The enrolled number for the course. For example, Enrolled: 10.
- Details for the course then select Open Roster.
After opening the roster, you can also select Section Instructors at the top of the page to open the section instructors list.
View a student's username
- Use the search field or the alphabetical list to find a student in the Name column.
- Point to the student's name in the list.
A pop-up shows the username.
Check course enrollment (students and teaching assistants)
Select Back to my courses to open the My Courses page. Then look for the number next to Enrolled.
A separate count shows for any section instructors in the course.
This feature might not display in your course.
